What a mad couple of weeks! In February I responded to a call out by Wendy Dalrymple, the Rector of All Saints with Holy Trinity Parish Church in Loughborough, who was looking for a videographer to help with her 21st Century Woman singing project for this year’s International Womens Day #IWD2020.
The aim of the project was to bring women together through the project in order to celebrate a diversity of women’s job roles, to enjoy singing as part of a group, and to feel like part of a thriving local community, which of course we all ended up feeling!
A scratch choir was born after only a couple of rehearsals and the above video was recorded at the final session on the 27th of February. The group were conducted by the super talented Emma Trounson and the audio was recorded by Clifton Bank Studios
Music & Lyrics by Joanna Forbes L’Estrange. Inspired by the original single recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 2018 by stars of stage and screen. #twentyfirstcenturywomansong
