We couldn’t have been happier for Kelly and Graham, they had quite a few months of uncertainty as to whether COVID-19 would postpone their wedding day on August the 26th but thankfully they were able to go ahead and what a day it turned out to be! The day was meticulously thought out in terms of restrictions, social distancing and support bubbles (no surprise as Kelly is in the wedding industry being an amazing wedding hair and make up artist) and Bridge House Barn were able to operate as a pop up bar and host their handfasting ceremony and celebrations entirely outdoors.
This was the wedding that COVID just couldn’t stop! With all sorts of activities throughout the day including axe throwing, archery, a bouncy castle, tattoos, a magician, a fantastic ceilidh and music from Schuggie and The Big Moose Ceilidh Band, an awesome photographer in Grace Elkin Photography, plus a fire performance and a silent disco, it was the perfect day.
We loved all the emotions in their wedding video, it’s so clear how much they mean to each other and, for us, it means everything to be able to capture Kelly and Graham’s totally loved up day for them to look back on. Massive congratulations to you lovely pair!
A couple of weeks ago we filmed our first wedding video since 2019 at Bridge House Barn and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to get filming and editing weddings again! It was a little strange with social distancing measures in place but we were really happy to be part of such a special day. Plus it also made us think about why a booking a wedding videographer is so critical during the pandemic.
Our 6 reasons to hire a wedding videographer during COVID-19
1. For the wedding guests who cannot be there
A wedding video will ensure that your VIP guests who cannot attend due to COVID-19 can still see the most important part of your wedding day, the ceremony and your wedding vows to each other. Its the part that none of your guests will want to miss.
2. Get a custom made wedding video package bespoke to you
We absolutely love a good set of wedding photographs and they are great to print and put on the wall to look back on, but when we booked our own wedding videographer we knew we wanted to look back on the whole story of the day and all the emotions that come with it. A great wedding video will always bring that out.
4. Postponed and now having a winter wedding?
We love a winter wedding! Your original plans and date may have changed (ours certainly have, we were meant to be married in June 2020!) but if you’re now getting married towards the end of 2020 or even 2021, winter weddings have a cosiness about them and end of year Christmas feel that looks epic in film.
5. COVID-19 postponement means you might be able to stretch your wedding budget
If you’ve had another year to save due to postponing your wedding, you might be able to now stretch your wedding budget that little bit further and invest in a few more things next year you couldn’t consider for this year. A wedding video should be top of your list!
6. Don’t have any regrets!
The number one thing we hear from friends who got married was that they wished they had booked a wedding videographer. We get it – I am an introvert I wasn’t sure I wanted a videographer either! But Lisa wanted to look back on our whole wedding day story and, I had to admit that she is right!
We pride ourselves in being unobtrusive and with COVID-19 restrictions in place we can easily keep a 2m distance away and still capture all the magic of the best day of your lives.
We’re happy to announce that we are now taking bookings for commercial work including video production, product photography, video demonstrations, portrait photography and any media production work that keeps our minds on a new challenge!
COMMERCIAL VIDEO PRODUCTION
I graduated in Photography and Video from De Montfort University in 2012 and was thrown straight into the corporate video world, filming corporate event videos and product demo videos, it was a great learning curve and where I honed my video skills. We love creating a variety of work for clients from communications to product demos, so please do get in contact to discuss your video project.

COVID has dramatically altered all our couples wedding plans this year with all but one couple so far deciding to postpone until 2021.
So what if you really really just want to get married this year despite all the restrictions that come with COVID? Here are our top reasons to go ahead with a micro wedding – i.e., a small wedding with under 30 guests.
1. Have more freedom on the day
There is no pressure to follow conventions and a micro wedding lets you have your dream DIY wedding – with all the extras you want (we’re having a LOT of scandi pom poms at ours).
2. A micro wedding is ideal for introverts!
Small weddings are much easier to cope with for us introverts. We find smaller gatherings much less overwhelming.
3. You can actually speak to your guests
An intimate wedding allows you to actually have better and longer conversations with all the people you love. We know how quickly the day goes, you barely get time to chat to each other, let alone 100 guests!
4. Stick to your wedding budget
A micro wedding with less than 30 guests will naturally save the pennies compared to larger weddings, but it will also let you splash out a little more per guest if your budget allows. No doubt your loved ones will have helped you out a lot during your wedding planning and feeding them some fantastic food is a great way of saying thank you.
Now that weddings can now officially go ahead with 30 guests, we have put together a simple Micro Wedding Video Package to film your entire ceremony and your couple portrait session outside your venue. This means we can come and join the celebrations for a couple of hours and you can remember your day as you wanted with loads of awesome footage of just the two of you straight after you get hitched!
Kirsten and Paul got married over Christmas at Ampthill Registry Office in an intimate family ceremony followed with celebrations in Woburn.
Kirsten is LIsa’s stepsister and this is our gift to them, congratulations both. We hope you enjoy looking back on your day, especially during Coronavirus lockdown! Looking forward to more family get togethers one day !!!

What a mad couple of weeks! In February I responded to a call out by Wendy Dalrymple, the Rector of All Saints with Holy Trinity Parish Church in Loughborough, who was looking for a videographer to help with her 21st Century Woman singing project for this year’s International Womens Day #IWD2020.
The aim of the project was to bring women together through the project in order to celebrate a diversity of women’s job roles, to enjoy singing as part of a group, and to feel like part of a thriving local community, which of course we all ended up feeling!
A scratch choir was born after only a couple of rehearsals and the above video was recorded at the final session on the 27th of February. The group were conducted by the super talented Emma Trounson and the audio was recorded by Clifton Bank Studios
Louise and Jonathan’s wedding took place at Donington Park Farmhouse in Castle Donington on the 29th December 2019, our last wedding video of a jam packed 2019! It was so nice to be a part of such an emotional occasion and Donington Park Farmhouse was an absolutely gorgeous barn style wedding venue.
Special mentions to wedding coordinator Kayleigh at the venue, Maree Frances Photography and Nottingham band The Burgundys who were all fantastic to work with on the day and come highly recommended.

Carrie and David got married at St James Church at MacDonald Ansty Hall in Coventry on November the 2nd 2019. We absolutely loved being part of their day and capturing all the emotions for them to look back on in years to come. Congratulations from us!
And special thank yous to Bespoke Weddings who put us in touch with such a fantastic couple, Natalie Wootton Photography for being a dream to work with on the day and the staff at MacDonald Ansty Hall for helping us out when we accidentally left all of our audio equipment at the venue in all the excitement!!

Laura and Adam’s wedding took place at Hotel Van Dyk in Clowne, Chesterfield on September 12th 2019 and it was a privilege to document their day for them to remember forever. It was so lovely to see a couple able to be so silly with each other!
What could be better than documenting wedding films for a living? I love my job!

Wow, what a wedding! It’s not very often I get to be both videographer and guest, but when I heard my cousin Caroline was getting married to the lovely Alan, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. It was a beautiful day at Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire, the venue is an absolute stunner and not only that, I got to see my Dad dancing, and we’re talking proper Dad dancing! 🙂
Huge congratulations to the happy couple and I loved every second!
