Lesbian wedding at Dodford Manor.

I was absolutely thrilled to be able to film Nat and Liss’s wedding day for them at the LGBTQ+ friendly wedding venue Dodford Manor Barn in Northamptonshire last month. As a queer wedding videographer myself, I could not have been happier editing this wedding during Pride Month!

And what a jam packed, emotional and fun day it was!

This lovely couple’s wedding day started off in Brixworth, Northampton, with each bridal party getting ready nearby. With touching dress reveals to two loving and teary-eyed dads, the day continued at the amazing barn wedding venue Dodford Manor. Nat and Liss chose to enter the barn one after the other and it was just so lovely seeing Nat’s reaction as Liss followed her down the aisle to their special song, ‘Moon and Back’ by Amy Wadge.

Hell yeah! Say it loud and proud!

This has to be my favourite moment from Nat and Liss’s day (watch their wedding highlights video if you don’t know what I mean!).

The celebrations for this couple were just amazing! From a balcony full of confetti throwing bridesmaids, to an awesome bubble walk, to the most heartfelt speeches, and concluding with some epic dance floor action, it was clear to me how loved and celebrated this lovely couple are by their friends and families, and it’s a wedding that will stay with me forever.

Congratulations to you Mrs and Mrs Buchanan!

Inclusive LGBTQ wedding suppliers in Northampton.

As a gay woman who got married recently, I know from experience that finding inclusive suppliers to be part of your LGBTQ wedding is INCREDIBLY important! Queer weddings can be very moving for a variety of reasons. Your photographer and videographer will be with you for most of your wedding day so having a good relationship with them matters. For me personally as a big queer, nothing makes me happier than capturing and celebrating my queer couples’ JOY of having the day of their dreams, and being their true authentic big queer selves on the day they finally get to say ‘I do’!

Nat and Liss assembled a wonderful team of inclusive wedding suppliers as below:

If you’re looking into queer or LGBTQ owned suppliers for your wedding, feel free to send me a message, I’m always happy to help!

I am extremely proud to be a gay owned wedding supplier in an industry that, quite frankly, needs improving from the inside for us queers! Our own wedding planning journey with suppliers was pretty poor (although we did have some incredible suppliers too), from badly thought out forms that just weren’t inclusive, to suppliers that couldn’t get their head around the fact that we were two women. It was tiring.

My aim is to celebrate who you are as individuals, and who you love on your wedding day. It really is that simple. I genuinely believe that having queer wedding suppliers around on your wedding day means that you don’t have to worry about being yourselves.
