Knockerdown Cottages wedding venue.

July 2023 may have been a complete wash out, but laid back newlyweds Victoria and Jordy still had a wonderful wedding day, full of celebrations at the lovely Derbyshire wedding venue Knockerdown Cottages, in Ashbourne, near the Peak District.

The families and friends of this lovely couple came together to source and assemble a large array of gazebos in the day or two before their wedding to ensure that the celebrations could still take place outside in the dry, and I have to say, it worked really well!

Knockerdown is the perfect venue if you’re looking for self catering accommodation on site, with the selection of cottages allowing the couple to get ready in separate spaces with friends and family close by.

Knockerdown Cottages wedding suppliers.

It was my first time providing videography at Knockerdown Cottages and the second time for wedding photographer Eliie from EKR Pictures. Ellie was so great to work with, and we had to be patient contending with all the challenges of the awful weather. We ended up maximising the 10 minute weather window we had to work with for our outdoors couples shots, plus a few shots with key members of the wedding party.

Victoria and Jordy brought together an awesome group of local wedding suppliers to Derbyshire, which included the lovely Chloe from the Derby based Cuco Hair and Beauty, as well as Belper wedding florist Riverbank Floristry.

Victoria’s dress was from Matlock bridalwear shop Yes Bridal Studio.
